    Job Title: Quality Inspector

    Job Description

    Join a dedicated team in a leading aerospace components manufacturing company as an entry-level lab technician within our Quality team. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the highest quality standards of our products, specifically focusing on screws and bolts. As a Quality Inspector, you will play an integral part in our inspection processes, ensuring compliance with strict standards. We seek a dependable and committed individual with excellent communication skills to advocate for quality in our business.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

    + Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.

    + Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.

    + Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions, calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.

    + Select samples and check them using appropriate methods, such as measuring dimensions, testing functionality, and comparing to specifications.

    + Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

    + Update job knowledge by participating in company and external quality training.

    + Assist in establishing quality standards for products.

    + Read blueprints and specifications to ensure operations and products meet design and specification standards.

    + Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and various gauges to measure products.

    + Utilize automated systems to prepare samples for metallurgical tests.

    + Maintain records of testing and prepare and submit reports to the quality supervisor or director.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.

    + Basic computer and math skills.

    + Strong attention to detail and a purposeful approach.

    + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in quality control and inspection processes.

    + Familiarity with reading blueprints and specifications.

    + Problem-solving skills and great documentation capabilities.

    Work Environment

The environment is non-climate-controlled, and steel-toed shoes are required. The regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $45760.00/yr.
