    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Contract Maintenance Technician to support industrial equipment maintenance activities during weekend day shifts. This role involves responding to emergency maintenance issues, completing preventative maintenance (PMs), and handling general work orders including repairs, modifications, and fabrication projects. Flexibility to cover 1st and 2nd shifts as needed is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and systems.

    + Complete work orders efficiently and courteously.

    + Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including roofs and common areas.

    + Ensure timely and professional execution of job assignments and work orders.

    + Maintain shop areas and storage in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

    Essential Skills

    + Troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

    + Moderate computer literacy, including navigating browsers and processing work orders via CMMS.

    + Ability to research and troubleshoot using a computer, tablet, or printed manual.

    + Mechanical troubleshooting experience using manuals (conveyance, automotive, or robotics experience preferred).

    + Hands-on experience using powered and non-powered hand tools.

    + Adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to interpret shop drawings and build accordingly.

    + Familiarity with LOTO procedures and electrical hazard awareness.

    + Experience with Hytrol conveyance systems, shoe sorters, Rockwell camera systems, WMS/WCS communications.

    + Operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, and powered pallet jacks (PIT certified preferred).

    + Base building maintenance (dock doors, plates, HVAC, restrooms, etc.).

    + Use of fabrication shop tools such as drill press, mill, and bandsaw.

    + Print reading and understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a distribution center, requiring no medical or certification prerequisites. The dress code includes high visibility vests as part of the PPE.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
