    Job Title: General Laborer - 2nd Shift

    Job Description

    Join our team as a General Laborer on the 2nd shift. You will work Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM, with potential overtime during weekends as announced. Start your journey with an orientation session on the first day at 10 AM, followed by hands-on training in the subsequent days. This role offers a base pay plus a shift premium, and presents opportunities for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and attitude.

    Responsibilities

    + Train with a full-time employee to understand machine operations and part handling.

    + Perform visual inspections to identify quality issues and defects in parts.

    + Properly package parts and prepare them for the quality assurance area.

    + Work with Plastic Injection Molding cells or assembly cells.

    + Ensure all parts are checked and meet quality standards before packaging.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Skill in pulling parts and performing visual inspections.

    + Ability to conduct quality checks and manage general production tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in machine operating.

    + Proficiency in visual inspections.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility serves as the main engineering and manufacturing hub for the North American market, utilizing high precision stamping, complex molding, and assembly processes. It is a Tier 2 automotive supplier that has recently expanded into the cosmetic industry. The facility is the cleanest, with bright lighting and a commitment to organization through 5s principles. Currently, it employs about 180 motivated and skilled staff members.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
