Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to identify and repair mechanical defects, complete Preventative Maintenance Plans, and participate in root cause analysis for equipment and process failures. You will be responsible for training operators on maintenance techniques, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and assisting in diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds of machinery. You will also document all maintenance activities and support the Preventative Maintenance program to reduce unscheduled downtime.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and repair mechanical defects.
+ Complete assigned Preventative Maintenance Plans as scheduled.
+ Participate in root cause analysis on equipment and process failures.
+ Train operators on maintenance techniques.
+ Complete preventative maintenance and assist in diagnostics and repairs.
+ Document all maintenance work activity within the CMMS System.
+ Support the Preventative Maintenance program to reduce downtime.
+ Understand Quality Systems and ensure safety and quality in the workplace.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of industrial mechanical experience or a two-year technical degree.
+ Ability to read, write, and speak English.
+ Successful completion of HACCP Certification.
+ Forklift License or ability to complete training within 90 days of hire.
+ Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.
+ Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to operate safely and effectively in the workplace.
+ Skill in disassembling and reassembling equipment.
+ Experience with mechanical power transmission components.
+ Basic welding skills.
+ Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Work Environment
This role is based in a food plant where you will work with ovens and enter freezers. The environment may become dirty due to the nature of food production, particularly desserts. Proper personal protective equipment, including hair nets, smocks, and boots, is required. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Le Center, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
