Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for lifting parts weighing up to 50 lbs onto an assembly line. For parts weighing more than 50 lbs, a small hoist is available for use. You will follow instructions displayed on a computer screen to perform the next steps in the assembly process. The role requires operating basic hand tools to assemble products, and the work can be repetitive.

Responsibilities

+ Lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs onto the assembly line.

+ Use a hoist for lifting parts over 50 lbs.

+ Follow computer screen instructions for assembly process steps.

+ Operate basic hand tools such as air rivet guns and battery-powered drills.

+ Perform repetitive assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in assembly and production environments.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.

+ Mechanical aptitude and general labor experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.

+ Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.

Work Environment

The position offers a choice of shifts: 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10 pm to 6 am. Employees are entitled to two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Flexible lunch breaks allow employees to adjust their departure time. Voluntary overtime is available, with options to work before or after shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
