Job Title: Warehouse Order Picker - 1st Shift - Start ASAP

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a wholesale supplies warehouse that specializes in storing and shipping trophies, awards, signs, and personalized items. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that items are correctly picked and prepared for shipment to customers. You will start as an order picker and receive training to handle both picking and packing tasks. Quality is our priority, and we value precision over speed in our operations.

Responsibilities

+ Receive and review pick tickets to accurately locate items in the warehouse.

+ Use a catalog to identify items visually when necessary.

+ Walk throughout the warehouse to locate orders and match part numbers.

+ Lift items weighing up to 30 lbs consistently.

+ Climb ladders up to 12-15 feet to retrieve items stored at height.

+ Perform tasks using traditional paper methods without RF Scanners.

+ Visually inspect parts before shipping them to customers.

+ Participate in daily inventory and cycle counts.

+ Learn packing procedures, including boxing and taping orders for shipment.

+ Perform minor computer work related to inventory using a simple system.

+ Engage in cross-training, leading to a varied daily routine of picking and packing.

+ Assist with side duties like cutting plastic trophies and facility cleanup as a team.

+ Learn to operate machinery such as the cherry picker and Hilo when eligible.

+ Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with rare weekend work

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and understand pick/packing slips in English.

+ Capability to walk and stand for the entire shift duration while moving a push cart.

+ Comfort with climbing ladders up to 12-15 feet.

+ High attention to detail.

+ Steel-toed boots.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in warehouse packing and inventory management.

+ General labor and picking experience.

Work Environment

Work in a spacious and well-lit warehouse environment that is quiet and conducive to concentration. You are encouraged to listen to the radio during work, but cell phones must remain out of sight. The dress code is informal, allowing for comfort with options like sweats, hoodies, jeans, shorts, and khakis.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
