Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler where you will play a crucial role in the assembly of sonobuoys for the US Navy. You will work in a dynamic manufacturing environment using various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble sonobuoys on one of five production lines.

+ Utilize hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wire cutters.

+ Operate electric drill drivers effectively.

+ Follow blueprints and instructions with precision.

+ Participate in soldering training sessions.

+ Handle and lift up to 35 lbs safely.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency with hand tools.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ No prior experience required, willingness to learn is essential.

+ Any assembly experience, including assembling furniture, is preferred.

+ Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to career growth and stability.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment with a 4/10 work schedule from Monday to Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Opportunities for overtime are available on Friday and Saturday. The role initially involves training on the day shift for 2-4 weeks (7:30 AM - 6 PM with a 30-minute lunch break) before transitioning to the 2nd shift, which runs from 4 PM to 2 AM.

This is a Contract position based out of Manassas, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
