Job Title: Set-Up Technician
Job Description
The Set-Up Technician is responsible for installing production molds in injection molding machines ranging from 10 to 500 tons. This role ensures that molds match production specifications, identifies potential issues, and verifies readiness for scheduled runs.
Responsibilities
+ Install and prepare molds for production efficiently and safely to reduce downtime.
+ Support the Shift Supervisor in maintaining a safe work environment and resolving machine issues to minimize scrap and rework.
+ Coordinate with Material Handlers to ensure timely delivery of components to machines.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the molding department to promote safety and employee satisfaction.
+ Pursue ongoing training to improve mold setup procedures without compromising safety or quality.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
+ Commitment to safety and proper equipment maintenance.
+ Completion of safety training, including handling hazardous materials.
+ Physical ability to lift containers within OSHA standards.
+ Willingness to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with CNC, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
+ Skills in machine setup, mechanical operations, and production processes.
+ Ability to read blueprints and work with lathe and mold equipment.
+ Mechanically inclined.
Work Environment
The work environment includes collaboration with the production team and direct reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The role requires adherence to safety standards while working with injection molding machines. The dress code is safety-oriented, and the role might require overtime work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
