    Job Title: Industrial Sewing Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Sewing Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to sew filters used for industrial paint booths, ensuring each product meets our stringent quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Remove cut patterns from the cart and stack them on the sewing table.

    + Assemble patterns, sew required pockets, and turn the bag right side out if necessary.

    + Inspect finished products for defects and place them on the conveyor for wire assembly if required.

    + Sew in stays as needed, inspect for defects, and package products into boxes.

    + Maintain accurate records of quantities and time.

    + Ensure all equipment is in good working condition.

    + Ensure the quality of all products meets set standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in industrial sewing and machine operation.

    + Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

    + Proficiency in standing, sitting, pushing, and pulling items.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in various departments such as sewing, packaging, machine operating, assembly, and palletizing.

    + Ability to work well with hands and perform general labor tasks.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a manufacturing plant with two buildings located in Ottawa, KS. The plant features various departments, including sewing, CNC, and warehouse. You will operate sewing machines and other industrial machinery in a setting that produces filters for industrial paint booths. The workweek is Monday through Thursday, with shifts from 5am/5:30am to 4pm, and optional work on Fridays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr.
