Job Description
We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators for two distinct roles within our company. One position involves operating a dozer to construct small building pads for condos and mixed-use developments, while the other focuses on compaction and excavator work, including loading trucks and site clean-up. Both positions offer competitive compensation and the opportunity to work on varied and exciting projects.
Responsibilities
+ Operate dozers to build small building pads for condos, strip malls, and mixed housing.
+ Lead and oversee construction tasks on site.
+ Perform compaction work and operate excavators for export loading of trucks.
+ Manage skid steer operations for site clean-up and pad building.
+ Ensure efficient and timely loading of trucks using a 2-yard bucket.
+ Coordinate side dump operations.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction and heavy equipment operation.
+ Proficiency in operating dozers and excavators.
+ Ability to perform finish work and earth moving tasks.
+ Familiarity with GPS systems, including Trimble and Topcon.
+ Leadership capabilities to guide team operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with building pads and production earth moving.
+ Proven track record of efficient truck loading.
+ Ability to adapt to various construction environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glenwood, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
