Aerotek is hiring for Mechanical Assemblers for a facility in the south Memphis area. These positions are 3 month contract to hire opportunities on 1st or 2nd shift. Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team in building large cooling units. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand and power tools, working with metal framing, copper tubing, and drilling holes. You will perform basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations, ensuring components are correctly assembled according to visual aids and diagrams.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble large cooling units using hand and power tools.

+ Work with metal framing, copper tubing, and drilling holes.

+ Perform piping and metal tubing tasks.

+ Read and follow directions from leads or diagrams.

+ Utilize manual lifting devices for heavy lifting, including team lifts.

+ Inspect parts to ensure correct assembly.

+ Perform visual inspections and labeling of assembled components.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to use hand and power tools.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude.

+ Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to read and interpret visual aids and diagrams.

+ 1+ year of experience at minimum in detailed mechanical assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Electrical knowledge is a plus.

+ Ability to read and interpret graphs and diagrams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
