Job Overview

Coordinate the efficient operation of manufacturing activities by performing supervisory tasks, while complying with current policies and procedures, QMS and safety requirements.

A Day In The Life

+ Work as a team and maintain excellent working relationships with all employees, maintaining an effective and open communication with all employees and all functions, and encourage employee involvement.

+ Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.

+ Assure compliance with company policies and procedures.

+ Ensure workers are properly trained and equipped with the right tools to do their job correctly.

+ Achieve productivity gains while improving quality and meeting customer schedules, working towards reducing costs and eliminating waste.

+ Utilize available resources effectively.

+ Provide supervisory role in dealing with shop problems and make the decisions necessary to alleviate or remove the problem.

+ Perform all related administrative functions effectively.

+ Train and motivate workers. Take interest in their jobs and provide clear, concise work instructions.

+ Maintain CMC’s commitment to excellence, quality and customer service.

+ When necessary, may be required to perform setup inspection, make dispositions and document findings.

+ When necessary, may be required to assemble production jobs, handle material, set up tables, and any other job duty associated with the manufacturing of product.

+ Be an active participant the various management committees that must be attended. Establish goals and encourage growth and new ideas. Follow-up may be required to achieve goals.

+ Be a coach and mentor while coordinating daily workload and facilitating projects.

+ Be a liaison between departments and facilities to disperse information and encourage communication.

+ Education and/or experience – High school diploma or GED preferred, as well as three years related work experience. Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.

+ Language Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums and correspondence.

+ Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills are required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

+ Reasoning Ability – Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

+ Computer Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

+ Certificates, Licenses, Registration – Must possess (acquire through training) and maintain fork lift operator certification.
