The Advanced Capabilities and Systems Group is an agile, innovative, multi-disciplinary team developing novel system and technology concepts that address the nation’s critical security challenges. The group leverages focused analysis to understand solutions to defense and intelligence problems, and then develops the solutions in a fast cycle of experimentation and prototyping. The group supports the Army, Air Force, Navy, Special Operations Forces, the Intelligence Community, and other government agencies in a wide variety of prototyping efforts principally focused on radio frequency systems and autonomous systems. The Group consists of talented technical staff with expertise in electromagnetics, signal processing, radio frequency systems, antenna design, statistics, optimization, machine learning, autonomous control, software engineering, and embedded systems.
Job Description:
The Advanced Capabilities & Systems Group is seeking summer internship candidates to conduct research and analyze advanced wireless communication, radar, and electronic warfare techniques and signal processing algorithms both in the laboratory and in the field. Strong candidates will have experience with signal processing theory, which may include digital communications, RF propagation phenomena, modulation and coding, medium access control, and/or multiple access techniques.
In addition to the above topics, there are other potential summer internship opportunities with the group, and we will broadly consider candidates meeting the position requirements below.
