At C.H. Robinson, we believe that in-person collaboration is key to driving innovation and achieving success. In this role, you will work on-site from the Eden Prairie office with your peers 3-4 days a week, fostering creativity and producing impactful results through face-to-face interactions.
Responsibilities:
+ Support the management of a high-volume litigation docket, including case tracking, overseeing outside counsel, developing case strategy, coordinating discovery, and evaluating legal risk across a range of civil lawsuits
+ Assist with pre-litigation strategy, discovery, and document review
+ Evaluate legal claims and litigation risk across departments and provide input on dispute resolution strategy
+ Provide day-to-day employment law advice and business expertise to Human Resources and business partners, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
+ Conduct research and risk assessments on employee-related matters including accommodations, terminations, investigations, and wage/hour issues
+ Offer legal counsel to C.H. Robinson employees on a wide range of legal issues, including contracts, compliance, privacy, and operational matters
+ Translate complex legal concepts into practical, business-focused guidance
+ Collaborate with legal operations and Technology to evaluate, implement, and improve AI-driven tools and workflows to support litigation and internal legal processes
+ Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks, optimize document management, and improve legal efficiency using AI and analytics
Required Qualifications:
+ Law degree from an accredited college or university
+ Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
+ Minimum 5-7 years of licensed legal experience in litigation
+ Ability to travel 15-20% nationally
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prior experience working at a law firm, preferably in litigation practice, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple client matters and deliver high-quality legal work in a deadline-driven environment
+ Experience supporting or managing litigation at scale (multi-jurisdictional or high-volume)
+ Understanding of employment law and compliance across multiple states
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of Programs
+ Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills
+ Strong organizational and project management abilities
+ Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
+ Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with legal and non-legal teams
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing complex legal matters from intake through resolution while exercising sound judgment and prioritizing business needs
+ Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization

Compensation Range
$107,300.00 - $178,400.00
