Job Summary
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant, Reception for our Administration team at our Safety Assessment site located in Spencerville, Ohio.
Provide basic administrative support for areas assigned within the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: _(The fundamental Competencies/Skills & Responsibilities of the role (products and services provided/results accomplished) include, but are not limited to, those listed:_
+ Perform basic administrative tasks for a wide variety of departments such as data entry, routine narrative documents, photocopying and filing.
+ Provide receptionist desk coverage, as assigned.
+ Assign security badges to visitors, contractors and employees.
+ Monitor security cameras when visitors request to enter facility.
+ May update security database for the site. Obtain security clearance for badges. Update security badge approval listing.
+ Call for maintenance/repair on front office copiers.
+ Assist with upkeep of client hospitality supplies.
+ Assist with reservations of site conference rooms.
+ Assist laboratory areas in labeling tubes, slides, etc. as assigned. May require entry into the laboratory areas.
+ With guidance, handle special projects and duties as needed.
+ Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $18-20/hr. Please note that starting salaries vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
Job Qualifications
_(Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities required to accomplish the essential functions) include but are not limited to:_
+ Education: High School or G.E.D. and specialized secretarial training beyond High School preferred. Associate's degree (A.A. /A.S.) or equivalent from two year college desired.
+ Experience: 1-2 years related experience in clerical or administrative related discipline.
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
+ Other: Demonstrated advanced telephone and communication skills. Demonstrated word processing skills.
Physical Demands:
+ Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
+ Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
+ Regularly provides information to and receives information from/through various technologies, media, sources and contacts. Must be able to accurately exchange information in these situations.
Work Environment:
+ General office and laboratory working conditions, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
+ Work in a research environment, which requires use of sharp objects, working around mechanical parts, working with or near known or unknown toxic or caustic chemicals and/or biological hazards.
