    Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our East Point, GA is looking for a new Warehouse Associate to join our Air Logistics Unit team.

     

    How you create impact

     

    The Warehouse Associate is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy material handling equipment. The Warehouse Associate can be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting, screening and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the warehouse. In conjunction with QSHE he/she is to ensure that compliance to the current KN GXP standards is maintained

     

    + Keep up to date with Kuehne+Nagel global and country specific GXP standards and requirements

    + Ensure the necessary handling procedures (both physical and written) are followed accordingly, when applicable, documented in client-level Quality Agreements, Service Level Agreements, and SOPs

    + Work closely with other departments to deliver high level of service to Pharma customers

    + Verify and receive materials into inventory.

    + Marks and inventories packages for storage or transit.

    + May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Use material handling (MH) Equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse.

    + Use material handling (MH) Equipment or other designated means to load goods into trailers or other designated transport vehicles for distribution.

    + Works from pick sheet to pull product or supplies.

    + Check orders against pull sheets.

    + “Dangerous Goods”: when receiving dangerous goods, the necessary procedures must be followed and these shipments must be stored in the designated section of the warehouse.

    + Understand and adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, DOT, EPA and other government agencies. Certification is required to handle any hazardous material(s).

    + If/when applicable, ‘bonded’ cargo must be processed and handled accordingly, based on existing guidelines for this type of shipment.

    + Implement/maintain safety, security, quality, housekeeping and sanitation programs, as applicable

    + Adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, DOT, EPA and other government agencies. Certification is required to handle any hazardous material(s).

    + May be required to lift between 50 pounds.

    + Employee will be expected to follow procedures introduced via on the job training.

    + Elevating potential situations to the next level of supervision when required.

    + Identify and correct mistakes/inconsistencies when receiving/completing paperwork.

    What we would like you to bring

    + 2+ years' experience operating material handling equipment in a warehousing environment

    + Must have current forklift certification

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

    + Can walk or stand for extended periods of time while wearing steel toe or composite toe shoes in a non-climate-controlled environment

    + Basic math skills
