Senior Staff Accountant
Job Description
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the month-end closing and reporting process, preparing monthly financial reporting and analysis packages, and recording journal entries. You will manage job revenue and cost recognition processes, prepare monthly account reconciliations, track fixed asset purchases and disposals, and prepare business personal property tax returns.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with the month-end closing and reporting process.
+ Prepare monthly financial reporting and analysis packages.
+ Record journal entries, including month-end entries.
+ Manage job revenue and cost recognition processes.
+ Prepare monthly account reconciliations supporting financial statements.
+ Track fixed asset purchases and disposals and prepare business personal property tax returns.
+ Reconcile unearned inspection and monitoring revenue.
+ Review inventory transactions for purchase price variances.
+ Support the integration of acquired companies and perform acquisition accounting and consolidation.
+ Perform ad-hoc variance analyses.
+ Assist the Controller in the annual financial audit with external auditors.
+ Perform ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required.
+ Provide backup for payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
+ Continuously adhere to the company’s controlled substances and alcohol standards.
+ Ensure safety by using good judgment and following all company safety policies and work procedures with authority to stop unsafe acts.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
+ 3+ years of accounting experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience in public accounting is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
+ Construction industry experience is beneficial.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
