Job Title: Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, possesses a sharp eye for accuracy, and thrives on maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities

+ Enter, organize, and maintain financial transactions with speed and accuracy.

+ Assist with account reconciliations and reporting.

+ Support bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed.

+ Ensure records are accurate and up to date in QuickBooks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, data entry, and bookkeeping.

+ Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

+ Ability to process invoices efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1+ year of accounting-related experience.

+ Comfortable managing large amounts of data entry.

Work Environment

The position reports to the accounting team and involves working closely with the current accountant. The work schedule is flexible, requiring at least 25 hours per week, with an expectation to be in the office 3-4 days a week. The office is located in Lenexa and offers a casual working environment. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
