Controlling Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Controlling Analyst to support financial planning, cost control, and performance analysis across the organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial transparency, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial modeling, cost accounting, and business intelligence tools.
Responsibilities
+ Forecast expenses, monitor financial analysis, and report to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
+ Analyze and monitor cost structures, budgets, and financial KPIs across departments.
+ Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
+ Develop and maintain financial models to forecast performance and identify variances.
+ Collaborate with operations and finance teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
+ Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for upper leadership.
+ Assist in internal audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
+ Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to improve financial outcomes.
+ Participate in ERP system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders.
+ Proficient in accounting and finance principles.
+ Experience with SAP and internal controls.
+ Understanding of financial transactions, reporting, and statements.
+ Cost control and financial analysis expertise.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access).
+ Ability to collect data, establish facts, and identify trends and variances.
+ Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity.
+ Ability to review, interpret, and evaluate accounting transactional information.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
+ Ability to multitask and effectively manage time constraints.
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Work Environment
This position is based in a corporate office environment with a personal cubicle, computer, and multiple monitors. The role offers an opportunity for growth within a large automotive organization.
Job Type & Location
This is a Long term Contract position based out of Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
