Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for a variety of general accounting duties with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication. Key tasks include general ledger posting, invoicing, accounts receivable management, collections, and handling inventory-related duties. Effective communication with the accounting team, as well as production and fulfillment teams, is essential to ensure accurate and timely customer billing.
Responsibilities
+ Invoice customers and verify customer contact information.
+ Review and apply customer payments.
+ Take credit card information over the phone.
+ Manage the flow of customer invoices through B2B portals, including international portals.
+ Engage in collection activities for all past due accounts in a timely manner, including emailing and phone calls.
+ Provide excellent customer service through timely responses and polite correspondence.
+ Communicate regularly with the accounting and marketing teams regarding past due accounts.
+ Manage all incoming shipments by unloading, inspecting, and verifying goods against purchase orders, document any discrepancies, and store items in their designated locations.
+ Accurately record details of incoming shipments, update inventory records, and provide reports as needed.
+ Post inventory adjustments and revalue inventory in the system.
Essential Skills
+ Experience working with international company portals for accounts receivable payments.
+ Business to Business Accounts Receivable experience.
+ Experience in public company environments, ERP systems, Oracle, and Netsuite.
+ High school diploma with two years of experience working in Accounts Receivable; a two-year business or accounting degree is preferred.
+ Prior experience with customer portals.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience and familiarity working with ERP systems is preferred.
Work Environment
This role operates within a quiet office environment with a team of four. The position offers a flexible start time between 7:30 am to 9:00 am, adhering to a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires in-office presence and involves interaction with various departments, including production, quality assurance, and fulfillment. The company provides great benefits including fully covered medical coverage up to $700/month, a 50% 401k match up to 6%, and accrued 2 weeks sick leave and 2 weeks PTO. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davis, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
