The Financial Service Rep serves as a representative of Cornerstone Credit Union. We need a dynamic, goal oriented, person who likes meeting people and developing relationships, to help grow our branch in South Beloit, IL. Responsible for providing members with financial assistance, deposit and loan services in a courteous and professional manner while providing prompt, efficient and accurate member service. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Credit Union philosophies as well as Cornerstone policies. Responsible for helping members navigate the application, approval and closing process. This will include recommending personal loan options to members and explaining their terms, determining risks for loaning to members based on their credit, and accurately processing paperwork.

Essential Functions:

+ Perform routine member transactions including, but not limited to, account inquiries & updates, transfers; check withdrawals, stop payments, request for check and statement copies, and general information.

+ Independently complete opening and closing of memberships including but not limited to lending and deposit accounts transactions (i.e. Consumer loans, deposit accounts including Money Markets).

+ Collect and prepare all materials needed to secure a loan. Reviewing applications for accuracy and determining debt ratio, income, credit checks, any collateral and/or other requirements to assist member in obtaining a loan.

+ Actively look for opportunities to cross-sell CCU technology & services (i.e. EARS, CCU website, Debit Card, Mobile capture, CU Branch, CU Bill Pay, GAP, Credit Life & Disability, etc)

+ Respond to inquiries made by members via telephone or email in a timely, friendly and professional manner.

+ Ability to assist members with loan inquiries, loan applications, loan balance/payoffs, quote NADA values, quote AutoCare premiums.

+ Redeem US Savings Bonds and direct members to on line purchases of US Savings Bonds.

+ Remain aware of, understand and comply with regulatory and compliance issues for consumer loans and deposit accounts.

+ Maintain professional appearance.

+ Maintain excellent attendance record, including punctuality and preparation.

+ HS Diploma or equivalent required.

+ Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial institution with previous lending experience is required.

+ Bilingual English/Spanish required.

+ NMLS is a Plus

+ Basic PC skills required with p roficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

+ Strong written and verbal communications skills important.

+ Previous cross selling/member(customer) relations experience required.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities.

+ Requires well-developed interpersonal skills for communicating information.

+ Maintain member and CCU confidentiality.

+ Pay rate $22/hr-$27.00/hr, commensurate with experience.
