Position:
Manager, Quality Engineering - Health Tech AI
Position Summary:
Oversees the data operations function within the organization. Guides a team responsible for ensuring the efficient flow, integration, and quality of data across various systems. Establishes and maintains data operations processes, creating continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-based initiatives. Meaningfully contributes to data operations projects, ensuring compliance with data governance standards, and helping to provide strategic guidance for the success of data operations.
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
+ Manages the activities of and coaches, mentors, motivates, supports, and develops a team of individual contributors and/or supervisors. Manages and/or supports performance management/corrective action plans, goal setting/review, regular guidance and 1-1 check ins, career development/planning, upskilling, resource allocation, staffing, DE&I initiatives, and other People & Culture programs/activities as needed. Fosters accountability and collaboration to ensure team member and overall team success.
+ Oversees the day-to-day operations of data processing systems, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and accuracy.
+ Establishes and maintains data operations processes, workflows, and best practices to optimize data integration, transformation, and delivery.
+ Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, establish priorities, and align data operations with organizational goals.
+ Monitors and reviews data operations performance metrics, generate reports, and present findings to senior leadership, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing actionable insights.
+ Impacts continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing data operations workflows, automating repetitive tasks, and implementing industry-leading practices to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
+ Ensures compliance with data governance principles, regulatory requirements, and data security best practices.
+ Collaborates with partners to understand their data needs, provide guidance on data-related processes, and support data-related initiatives.
+ Owns and guides data operations projects, including resource allocation, project planning, and execution, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
+ Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in data operations, evaluating their potential impact and making recommendations for adoption or improvement.
+ Collaborates with vendors and external partners to manage relationships, evaluate service level agreements, and ensure effective delivery of data operations services.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent
+ 6+ years of relevant data engineering/operations experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
+ 1+ year of leadership experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
+ Strong understanding of data processing concepts, data integration, data quality management, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
+ Firm understanding of and experience with data processing frameworks and tools, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Airflow
+ Thorough knowledge of database systems and proven SQL proficiency
+ Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure
+ Ability to guide, coach, develop, motivate and inspire a team, foster collaboration, and impact results
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels internally and externally
+ Ability to impact or support implementing process improvements and automatization initiatives to optimize data operations workflows
Preferred
+ Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
Working Conditions
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.

In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.
The hiring range for this position is:
$143,190.00-$194,467.50
