Consider applying for the part-time, on-call position of Substitute Meal Transporter with the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Your journey with us will commence with an intensive training program lasting around six weeks, during which you will familiarize yourself with the various routes utilized for delivering meals to eligible seniors throughout Lebanon County. Following this training period, you will play a crucial role in our team by assisting with these vital deliveries on an on-call basis. Your responsibilities will encompass ordering and documenting meals each delivery day, as well as promptly reporting any changes in the consumers' conditions to the office. In your interactions with our seniors, you will have the opportunity to offer compassion and empathy, acknowledging their challenges while celebrating their achievements. By dedicating your time to this cause, you will help ensure that the elderly members of our community remain nourished, connected, and supported alongside our dedicated team.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Part-time training, employment is on call as needed after training.
+ Note: Selected candidate must use their own personal vehicle to deliver meals. In addition to the hourly rate, selected candidate will receive the current IRS mileage rate.
+ Work hours are 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Hours are subject to change depending on weather or traffic.
+ Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Six months of experience which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
+ You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Conditions of Employment:
+ No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

Perform vehicle maintenance and safety tasks to include, regularly check tires, turn signals, wipers, and horn; and fill to proper level such fluids as engine oil, brake fluid, radiator coolant, and battery water.
