Superintendent

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Data Center Low Voltage Superintendent to lead and oversee field operations for large-scale telecommunications installation projects. This role requires proven leadership in managing teams of 40–50 internal technicians within enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a commitment to safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

As the primary on-site representative, the Superintendent will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of structured cabling, fiber optics, and voice/data infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead daily field operations for telecommunications installations, including structured cabling, fiber optics, and low-voltage systems

+ Supervise and coordinate internal crews and subcontractors to maintain production schedules and project milestones

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) and safety regulations (OSHA)

+ Manage job site logistics: material deliveries, equipment usage, and labor allocation

+ Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control protocols

+ Troubleshoot technical and personnel issues to maintain project continuity

+ Collaborate with project managers to update schedules, track progress, and forecast resource needs

+ Maintain accurate documentation: daily logs, timesheets, and progress reports

+ Serve as the primary on-site liaison for clients, general contractors, and inspectors

+ Uphold company policies and enforce job site rules and safety practices

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications or structured cabling

+ At least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role managing large teams

+ Strong understanding of copper, fiber, wireless, and low-voltage cabling systems

+ Ability to interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and blueprints

+ Proficient in cable testing tools (e.g., Fluke, OTDR)

+ Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project)

+ Valid driver’s license

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr.
