What you'll do:
The HMDA Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data across Retail and Correspondent Lending channels. This role supports compliance efforts by conducting data reviews, executing test scripts, and collaborating with internal teams to remediate discrepancies and enhance data quality.
Data Analysis & Testing
Perform monthly and quarterly HMDA data integrity reviews using source documentation and system reports (e.g., Encompass, Magnus).
Execute test scripts for Rate Spread, DTI, Income, and other HMDA data fields using job aids and compliance frameworks
Validate sample records against source documents and identify root causes for discrepancies
Use tools such as BI Pulse Reports, FFIEC Geocoder, CFPB Rate Spread Calculator, and Encompass Public Reports to extract and verify data
Quality Control & Remediation
Support the second line of defense (2LOD) testing framework by reviewing offshore team findings and ensuring proper resolution
Document and track remediation efforts for identified HMDA data issues.
Assist in subsampling validation reviews and ensure accurate reporting across Delegated and Non-Delegated records
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain evidence of testing and validation in shared drives and compliance repositories.
Contribute to the development and refinement of HMDA job aids, procedures, and desktop guides
Prepare summaries of findings and communicate results to Compliance SMEs and business units.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with Compliance SMEs, Retail and Correspondent Lending teams, and offshore testing teams.
Participate in the publication and review of updated procedures and job aids in Confluence and Workiva
Support audit readiness and regulatory reviews by ensuring documentation is complete and accessible.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.
2+ years of experience in mortgage compliance or data analysis, preferably with HMDA.
Proficiency in Excel, Encompass, Magnus, and BI reporting tools.
Familiarity with CFPB guidelines and Regulation C.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
