Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Overview:

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for one of our clients based out of Cleveland, Ohio. The technician will be responsible for reassembling workstations, ensuring all devices are properly connected, and resolving any technical issues that arise. The technician will also provide walk-up support for employees experiencing technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Setup

+ Troubleshoot hardware and software issues

+ Install, configure, and set up devices and peripherals

+ Ensure proper connectivity for printers and other shared resources

+ Support network access and resolve connectivity problems

Operational Support

+ Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network components

+ Deliver advanced technical assistance to local users

+ Track and report service metrics and project progress

+ Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams

+ Recommend improvements to support processes and workflows

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related concerns within assigned areas

Qualifications:

Experience with:

+ Desktop support in a Windows environment

+ Hardware and software troubleshooting

+ Printer setup and driver installation

+ Network connectivity support

+ Customer-facing technical assistance

Availability:

+ Flexible schedule required, including potential weekend shifts

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
