Job Title: Cloud Developer - AWS Connect

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Developer to support a large-scale federal agency focused on delivering essential health and human services to millions of Americans. This is a high-impact role that combines cloud engineering with mission-driven work in the public sector.

As part of a collaborative development team supporting a major government transformation initiative, you’ll help modernize contact center operations using AWS Connect and other AWS services. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for building secure, scalable, and user-focused cloud solutions that make a real difference.

Responsibilities

+ Design, develop, and implement AWS Connect solutions, including new applications or modifications to existing systems

+ Analyze existing operations and recommend enhancements or updates

+ Maintain and improve current processes in response to evolving requirements or platform updates

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements

+ Create and maintain process flow documentation

+ Develop solutions within integrated cloud environments

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

+ 7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale development environments

+ 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud platform

+ 3+ years of experience working specifically with Amazon Connect

+ 3+ years of experience using Node.js, Python, or Java for development

+ 3+ years of experience designing call routing and messaging systems

Technical Skills:

+ Deep expertise in AWS Cloud and AWS Connect development

+ Strong knowledge of IVR systems, ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), skill-based routing, and live chat functionality

+ Experience documenting and designing process flows

+ Solid verbal and written communication skills
