We strive to administer effective and responsible procurements to maximize the value of public funds for Montana. **What is this career opportunity?** SPB is looking for an individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to join our team as a Contracts Officer with a focus on Information Technology (IT) policies, procedures, software licensing, and IT procurement.We are interested in an individual that is experienced in procurement, and we are willing and able to train the right candidate who is passionate about learning and growing in this role. (We really do mean it!) However, we*do need*someone with a history and comfort level with IT goods and services including license management, SaaS, and commercial off-the-shelf. You would become a specialist in IT procurement, and it is vital that you are able to bridge the gap in communication with technical and non-technical individuals. Our team conducts solicitations for goods and services for just about everything you can imagine. We are also responsible for Statewide term contracts that any agency can purchase from and enjoy the cost-saving benefits. You would partner with other agencies in procurement procedures, conduct solicitations for goods and services, and provide contract oversight and management for on-going contracts. …In short, you would help State agencies follow State law to buy the products and services they need to serve the citizens of Montana.
