    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Fabrication Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Bethpage, NY.

    Job Description:

    Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.

     

    Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.

     

    Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.

     

    Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.

     

    Operation and maintenance of Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) water treatment system,

     

    Solids processing, horizontal and cartridge filtration, granular activated carbon vessels, and high-voltage motors.

     

    Coordinate and provide technical oversight of contractors. Collection, organization, and analysis of system parameters to maintain compliance with operational standards.

     

    Conduct bulk chemical inspections, enforce site safety protocols, and apply established SOPs for hazardous material handling and storage.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

    + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

    + This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces

    + Must be able to pass a physical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
