    As a Senior Quant analytics associate in Banking Payments Analytics within the Data and Analytics organization, you will partner with Payments Product Owners to deliver descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. You will define metrics, source data, develop queries, and create reports to drive customer engagement. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, translating data into actionable insights and supporting the firm's mission to lead in consumer banking.

     

    You will collaborate across Product, Data Management, Strategy, and Technology teams to understand business requirements and objectives. Your work will support the development of high-quality data models and reporting solutions, enabling seamless experiences for our customers. This role offers exposure to advanced analytics tools and the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives in payments.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions

    + Create data points using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy

    + Rationalize complex normalized data sets for ease of cross-organization consumption

    + Partner and collaborate with Product, Data Management, Strategy, Technology, and D&A teams to understand requirements and objectives

    + Translate data into meaningful insights and present compelling stories to stakeholders for decision making

    + Produce, optimize, and automate recurrent reports

    + Build consensus with Product Owners on metrics, data sourcing, and reporting

    + Develop queries and create reports to drive customer engagement

    + Support the development of personalized money movement and payment services

    + Facilitate holistic, cross-functional learning within the D&A community

    + Disseminate analytic knowledge across teams

    Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

    + Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau

    + Bachelor's degree with three years of analytics experience

    + Experience with Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL databases

    + Ability to explain and convert complex concepts into digestible information for varied audiences

    + Demonstrated initiative and ability to complete projects independently

    + Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks

    + Good written and oral communication skills

    + Operational business knowledge of processes, data, controls, and technology platforms

    Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

    + Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology, or finance

    + Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning. Basic skills with JIRA, Confluence

    + Strong SQL skills with ability to pull data using multiple joins, sub-queries, and advanced functions in enterprise-scale databases (Teradata, Hadoop, AWS, etc.)

    + Experience with business intelligence and data wrangling tools such as SAS EG, SAS Viya, Python, Snowflake, and Alteryx

    + Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred)

    + Familiarity with Cloud (AWS, Snowflake) based data solutions and tools

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Adobe Analytics knowledge preferred
