    Position Summary:

    The Logistics & Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective operations of supply chain activities of the general stores, receiving dock, and mailroom including inventory management, supply delivery, shipping/receiving, and distribution services, subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, DNV and the hospital administrative team.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Required

    + Associate degree in related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    + Current Montana Driver’s license.

    + Three (3) years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.

    + OSHA approved certificate to operate a motorized pallet jack or complete training and obtain certification within three (3) months of hire.

     

    Preferred

     

    + Bachelor degree in supply chain, business administration, logistics, or related field.

    + Prior work experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

    + Prior experience in a similar role working in a healthcare environment.

    Essential Job Functions:

    In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

     

    + Supervises daily supply chain operations in general stores, receiving dock, and mailroom ensuring supplies are received, stored, and distributed in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and patient care needs.

    + Leads a team of logistics staff (e.g., Supply Clerks, Inventory Agents), providing training, task assignments, and performance feedback to maintain high service levels.

    + Monitors inventory levels using hospital materials management systems (e.g., Lawson, SAP, Pyxis), ensuring PAR levels were maintained and stockouts avoided.

    + Ensures accurate receiving, labeling, and storage of supplies in accordance with infection prevention and safety guidelines

    + Assists leadership with broad operations to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements including assisting leadership with employee annual reviews, hiring, and performance management.

    + Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.

    + Coordinates and oversees the organization-wide departmental services. Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance.

    + Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources.

    + Demonstrates clinical/technical and managerial competency. Ensures staff professional needs are met.

    + Leads, teaches, inspires, helps and consistently demonstrates hospital behavioral standards

    Schedule Requirements

    + This role requires regular and sustained attendance.

    + The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.

    + On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed. Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
