Responsibilities include:
+ managing electrical installation inspections for new stores and shopping centers to ensure projects are progressing safely, on time, and according to high-quality Publix standards
+ overseeing the remodeling of multiple stores simultaneously (up to 15 at once) to ensure electrical projects are completed safely, on time, and according to high-quality standards
+ collaborating with various stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, vendors, store managers, design managers, maintenance coordinators, refrigeration coordinators, merchandisers, and Information Systems Technology Supervisors (ISTS) to support the Corporate 3-Year Plan and retail sales projections
+ providing on-site support and advice to the construction manager on the timely and safe electrical installations for new stores, remodels, and special projects

Year End Bonus:
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:
+ Associate’s degree in a construction-related course of study OR equivalent combination of formal training/certification and professional work experience that demonstrates the prerequisite competence to perform the duties of this position
+ six years of experience in electrical construction
+ valid driver’s license
+ advanced knowledge of the various construction methods and materials related to electrical installation
+ advanced knowledge of electrical, communication, refrigeration, and fire alarm drawings and installation manuals
+ advanced knowledge of retail electrical management systems
+ knowledge of national electrical codes and other regulatory agency requirements
+ knowledge of code calculations and ability to perform (i.e. wire sizing, conduit fill, low voltage calculations).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related course of study or equivalent level of documented construction experience
+ eight years of experience in electrical construction, including project leadership experience (e.g., crew leader, supervisor, project foreman)
+ Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-hour certification
+ Journeyman Electrical License
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
+ experience with Landmark
+ experience with Bluebeam
