Group/Division Summary:
The Sr. Director, Global Engineering and PPI will coordinate Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PSG group, supporting global CDMO operations in biologics, sterile injectables, and advanced therapies. This senior leader will establish governance to lead all aspects of capital project execution and facilities engineering across multiple global sites.
Position Summary:
This role provides a special opportunity to define and implement a global engineering roadmap that aligns with PSG’s growth strategy and customer commitments. The Sr. Director will collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, EHS, and Business Development to solidify Thermo Fisher’s position as an outstanding CDMO.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Define and put into action worldwide engineering strategies.
+ Serve as a technical liaison with key CDMO clients.
+ Coordinate facility engineering, automation, and maintenance.
+ Drive global standardization in engineering systems and equipment.
+ Lead PPI initiatives to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
+ 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Proven track record in biologics and sterile manufacturing.
+ Strong knowledge of biopharma processes and GMP compliance.
+ Skilled at managing large budgets and capital projects.
Working Environment:
+ Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
+ Capable of working in office and manufacturing environments.
