Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

+ 8 years of experience in software development.

+ 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

+ 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: Gen AI, Natural Language Processing or specialization in another ML field.

+ 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.

+ 3 years of experience with Kubernetes operations and security.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

+ 8 years of experience with Infrastructure as a Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.

+ 5 years of experience with product/solution development with a focus on product capabilities, features, benefits, users, and support needs.

+ 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

+ Experience in a customer-facing role, communicating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences.

As an Lead Applied AI Software Engineer, you will drive work on developing reusable solutions by integrating one or more Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and technologies to solve a recurring business problem in a differentiated, repeatable manner that accelerates time-to-value and reduces risk for customers. You will lead projects developing repeatable assets that reduce implementation friction, and increase maintainability for critical customer problems and use cases, helping them transform their businesses using GCP AI/ML stack and related technologies. You will help customers to develop, deploy, and manage custom solutions in production using Google Cloud technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

+ Architect innovative, long-term solutions by strategically analyzing customer needs and focusing on future possibilities. Oversee cross-functional teams in the development of deployable code, machine learning models, prescriptive architecture, and implementation guides.

+ Define and own solution requirements, ensuring alignment with the go-to-market strategy. Co-lead the design, roadmap, process improvements, and overall outlook for customer-centric solutions.

+ Cultivate trusted technical and business partnerships with customers and partners to identify and resolve recurring mission use cases using GCP services.

+ Lead collaboration with internal specialists, partners, Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, product and engineering teams to transform best practices into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.

+ Enable customers and partners to develop, deploy, and manage custom solutions on Google Cloud technologies.
