Join our team as a Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, where you’ll lead the development and integration of industrial control systems for metal stamping presses and related equipment. You’ll shape next-generation manufacturing processes, guide cross-functional teams, and make a direct impact on safety, productivity, and innovation.

Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

How You'll Create Possibilities
+ **Lead Control System Design:** Specify and engineer sophisticated control systems for metal stamping presses and related equipment—meeting specifications, budgets, and safety standards.
+ **Own the Technology:** Architect, program, and implement PLCs, HMIs, and network configurations—primarily using **Rockwell Automation** products, with flexibility to integrate **Siemens** solutions.
+ **Drive Process Excellence:** Partner with cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing processes and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
+ **Innovate & Improve:** Analyze system performance, recommend improvements, and implement cutting-edge automation and robotics technologies.
+ **Champion Safety:** Conduct machine safety risk assessments and ensure compliance with ANSI, NFPA, and ISO standards.
+ **Mentor & Lead:** Provide technical leadership, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide engineering teams to deliver projects on time and at the highest quality.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
+ 7+ years of experience in industrial control system design and implementation, with specific expertise in metal stamping applications and automated manufacturing equipment.
+ Proven proficiency in Rockwell Automation and Siemens platforms, including PLC programming, HMI development, and network configurations.
+ Strong understanding of machine safety standards (e.g., ANSI/RIA R15.06, NFPA 79, ISO 13849) and the ability to apply them to system design.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to dynamic project demands.
+ Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
+ Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
+ **Willingness to travel as required, typically ~25%.**
Preferred Qualifications:
+ BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering
+ Experience with assembly line design, automation and customized fabrication equipment and manufacturing processes
+ Hands-on experience in designing and operation of multiple axis automation equipment and/ or robots
+ Prior NPI program experience
+ Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project (or equivalent)
