Office of Conservation – Engineering/Administrative Division
The Engineering Administrative Division is responsible for the prevention of waste of oil and gas underground (in the reservoirs in which it accumulated), in storage and in transportation and is responsible for the protection of property rights of all persons concerned or affected thereby insofar as those rights relate to oil and gas exploration and exploitation in the state of Louisiana.
This full-time Mineral Production Analyst is located in the Engineering Administrative Division, Production Audit section in the Office of Conservation in Baton Rouge, LA. This position will independently perform a comprehensive audit of Form OGP (Operator’s Monthly Oil & Gas Production Report), Form R-5-D (Operator’s Monthly Gas Disposition Report), Form R2 (Transporter’s and Storer’s Report), Form R3 (Refiner’s Monthly Report), Form R5T (Natural Gas Transporter’s Monthly Report), and Form R6 (Gasoline and/or Cycling Plant Monthly Report) submitted by the petroleum industry reporting production, storage, transportation, refining, and processing of oil, gas and other hydrocarbons. Additionally, the Mineral Production Analyst will issue compliance notices with oil and gas operators, transporters, storers, plants and refineries indicating the discrepancy(s) to be researched and other compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in mineral analysis; OR
Six years of full-time work experience; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
As a Mineral Production Analyst, you will carry out numerous audit functions as it relates to oil and gas interties. Additional duties include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Performs audits of natural gas wells in a competitive reservoir which over produce their monthly allowable in a fiscal year in accordance with provisions of Statewide Order 29-F
+ Audits monthly activity reports for accuracy of oil and gas production, number of producing wells, and other pertinent information as required.
+ Recommends the issuance of compliance order to Mineral Production Supervisor for operator/transporter who has apparent illegal movement violations for which operator and/or transporter could be subject to Civil Penalty.
+ Performs preliminary audit of Form R-4 verify coding and nomenclature prior to submittal to Mineral Production Specialist.
+ Serves as support to the Department of Children and Family Services during times of emergency activation.
+ Performs other related duties as required.
