Responsibilities
Senior Financial Analyst will oversee forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, as well as Capex reporting. This role involves managing the budget for our Water Direct and Water Exchange buisness, with a focus on multi-year modeling. The position reports to both the Director of FP&A and the Treasurer, ensuring alignment between financial planning and capital expenditure oversight.
+ Prepare, analyze, and reconcile variances for a multi-million-dollar operational expense budget, including actual results versus forecast, budget, and prior year results.
+ Collaborate with functional business partners in Water Direct and Water Exchange to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results, forecasts, and plans.
+ Identify risks and opportunities and assist in developing and implementing action plans.
+ Develop and generate regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly) using various applications; design and create ad hoc reports as needed.
+ Build and maintain financial models to drive decision-making and forecast results.
+ Monitor and control functional metrics, working closely with finance leadership to achieve business goals.
+ Provide financial support on key initiatives and projects.
+ Manage Capex reporting, including building scalable processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Collaborate with the Treasurer for Capex reporting and related capital expenditure planning and analysis
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
+ 3+ years of professional experience in Finance or Accounting.
+ Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with multi-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Accounting) across various levels of management.
+ Highly organized and disciplined with strong time management skills, essential for handling time-sensitive forecasting processes.
+ Ability to build scalable processes to improve financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness.
+ Experience in managing Capex reporting and developing processes to enhance reporting efficiency.
+ Flexibility to manage peak workloads during major forecast periods.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
+ Analytical thinker with the ability to convert data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of Oracle, SAP and Essbase preferred.
+ Ability to act proactively, independently, and decisively in unstructured situations.
