    Behavioral Special Education Teacher | $48/hr | Elgin, TX | Full-Time | Elementary

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Behavioral SPED Teacher to support an elementary classroom in Elgin, Texas. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through May 21, 2026. The classroom is group-based and supported by a co-teacher and three paraprofessionals.

    Position Highlights

    + Location: Elgin, TX

    + Grade Level: Elementary

    + Caseload: 12–13 students split across two classrooms

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

    + Pay Rate: $48/hour

    + Modality: In-person preferred; virtual interview available

    Key Responsibilities

    + Implement behavioral intervention plans

    + Redirect challenging behaviors and support emotional regulation

    + Collaborate with co-teacher and paras

    + No FBA responsibilities required

    Requirements

    + Valid Texas SPED certification

    + Resume and certification required for submission

    + School-based behavioral experience preferred
