Tutor Doctor of Morris County (TDMC) is looking for a dedicated NJ Certified Teacher to work with middle and high school students in the Far Hills, NJ area. This role is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by combining subject-area instruction in the humanities (English, Social Studies) with executive functioning coaching to help students stay organized, manage their time, and thrive academically. Whether working one-on-one or in small 2:1 buddy sessions, you will have the chance to tailor lessons to individual student needs, ensuring every student feels supported and engaged.     Key Details: * Location: Far Hills, NJ (in-person) * Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 2 hours per day after school (approx. 8 hours per week) * Format: One-to-one and two-to-one tutoring sessions * Subjects: Humanities (English, Social Studies) * Focus Areas: Subject mastery plus executive functioning skills (organization, preparedness, study strategies, time management)     Job Responsibilities: * Provide individualized or small-group instruction in English and Social Studies concepts (grades 6–9). * Support students in strengthening executive functioning skills such as note-taking, time management, test prep, and long-term project planning. * Quickly assess academic levels using your professional expertise and information provided by families. * Reinforce and extend classroom concepts taught at school, ensuring alignment with the student’s curriculum. * Assist with daily homework, quizzes, and test preparation. * Create or adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s goals and learning style. * Maintain regular communication with families and collaborate effectively with colleagues to monitor student progress. * Uphold professionalism and represent Tutor Doctor as a trusted educational partner.     Job Requirements: * Active NJ Standard Teaching Certification or NJ Special Education Certification (required). * Ability to teach English and/or Social Studies concepts at the middle and high school level. * Experience supporting executive functioning development preferred. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with families. * Willingness to travel to Far Hills, NJ for in-person sessions. * Prior tutoring experience is a plus but not required.     Job Type: * Part-time (approx. 8 hours per week, with potential for additional hours if desired). * Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience.     Benefits: * Consistent schedule (set after-school hours, Monday–Thursday). * Flexible, supportive work environment. * Referral program. * Rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on students’ confidence and academic success.     Join the Tutor Doctor of Morris County team and help students in Far Hills achieve their potential — not only in academics, but also in the essential skills that set them up for long-term success.
