We are searching for the best talent for an **Associate Director, Clinical Portfolio Management** to support our entire MedTech Surgery group.
_This is a remote role available in all states within the United States_ . While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. We invite candidates from any location to apply.
**Purpose** : The Associate Director, Clinical Portfolio Management reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations & Evidence Generation, will drive strategic implementation, adoption and oversight for Clinical Affairs project management activities for J&J MedTech Surgery. This individual will plan and
implement clinical portfolio and project system tracking, reporting and forecasting to promote
agility and efficiency across the Clinical Affairs organization. The Senior Manager, Portfolio
Management will focus on real-time traceability of progress toward key clinical and evidence
business goals and drive effective communication across cross-functional teams, as well as
senior leadership.
**You will be responsible for** :
+ Leads end to end portfolio management activities including project plan development, dashboard generation, metrics tracking, risk identification and mitigations, resource planning, and development of communication strategies.
+ Supports the Clinical Franchise and Clinical Operations teams by attaining key project and portfolio milestone information and aligning prioritization and navigating competing demands and projects.
+ Actively leads portfolio programs and resource alignment to a defined work approach.
+ Ensures clinical teams track and report established KPI’s and communicate adherence to policies, business processes, and requirements.
+ Provides effective optimization and harmonization of processes within Clinical Affairs while incorporating process excellence tools and best practices.
+ Identifies, plans, and implements clinical portfolio and project management initiatives across MedTech Surgery Clinical Franchises, demonstrating project management expertise and business acumen to expand the Clinical Affair’s organizational impact and efficacy in a highly cross-functional environment.
+ Leads regular business portfolio review meetings with leadership, escalating project delays and business critical competing priorities.
+ Provides strong connectivity with Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Preclinical Affairs, and the PPMG to drive consistency and results.
+ Provides change management expertise to support procedural and workflow changes.
+ Defines, maintains, and monitors metrics relevant to the Clinical Operation team’s activities and adjacent teams/functions, providing real-time progress tracking and visibility of issues to enable corrective and preventive action to be taken, as needed.
+ Assesses and confers with management on technological changes, market trends, and competitive project management processes and industry-best operating practices.
+ Communicates proactively with senior leadership through portfolio expansion and management lifecycles.
+ Ensures deliverables are linked to appropriate clinical and evidence generation processes, where needed.
+ Proactively initiates process and system improvements.
**Qualifications / Requirements** :
+ Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is **required** ; Advanced degree _strongly preferred_ . Science or Engineering field of study desired.
+ Minimum of 8+ years of project management experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry **required** , with a strong focus on clinical operations, regulatory documentation and compliance.
+ Previous people leadership, FTE or Contract, is _a plus_ .
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
+ Proficiency with project management methodologies and project planning tools such as Wrike, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
+ Exceptional communication and with the ability to interact with leader at various levels in the organization.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
+ Knowledge of clinical evaluation, literature reviews, and/or safety reporting inputs and requirements preferred.
+ Process Excellence training or certification _preferred_ .
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification _preferred_ .

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
The base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
