COTA - Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Day Shift - Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem with weekend/holiday rotation
$30.50 - $34.33 based on experience

What will I do as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for The Wesley Community?
Our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants work closely with in our in-patient long term care residents and short term rehab patients to restore activities of daily living . A few of the most common duties and responsibilities required of COTA's with us include:
+ Monitoring a patient's progress to make sure that they're successfully completing treatment
+ Encouraging the patient during their recovery process
+ Helping patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems
+ Helping injured employees improve their motor skills with the goal of re-entering the workforce
+ Teaching patients with disabilities to become more independent
+ Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist
+ Keeping the office, treatment room and equipment in good order
+ Teaching patients, family members or other Caregivers skills and techniques to help with the patients' treatment program
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements:
+ Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
+ Current New York State COTA Licensure
+ Experience in Subacute and/or Long-Term Care is a plus, though not required.
