    About the Opportunity

     

    This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU]

     

    This position is on-site and can be located at any FirstEnergy location.

     

    FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.

     

    The estimated pay range for this role is $66,725 - $121,200. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range for NJ $80,070 - $145,440.

     

    This position reports to the Manager, Siting, Survey and ROW and the reporting location for this role can be any of the FE facilities.

     

    This position is responsible for the development & creation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and non-po invoices to support Transmission's capital and O&M projects. This position will work closely with the team to prepare any monthly and year-end forecast, accrual and tax reports. This position will also be responsible for any financial analytics that may be requested by the team and work closely with the FET-Finance group in support of regulatory filings and/or Orders from the state commissions. The position will also work with Supply Chain to ensure that contract terms with the A/E firms and consultants are followed. Interacts with vendors to ensure accurate and timely invoicing as well as resolve issues that may arise. This position will support the team with tracking of ROW Engineering requests, Survey requests and internal survey crew scheduling.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Demonstrating a commitment to FirstEnergy Core Values and Behaviors, including Safety.

    + Providing analytical support using Microsoft Excel and Power Bl.

    + Supporting management by completing ad-hoc requests.

    + Supporting the supply chain cycle by creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders.

    + Processing Non-PO Invoices for landowner and other applicable payments.

    + Receiving and processing invoices in a timely manner to receive vendor discounts. Ensuring the accuracy of the accounting, timesheets, and rates.

    + Providing support for the budget by monitoring and analyzing invoice payments.

    + Providing support to leadership, peers, and vendors.

    + Supporting storm activities as needed.

    + Preparing and maintaining reports, summaries, year-end forecast, accruals, and tax reports.

    + Processing and Tracking of ROW Engineering and Surveying Request forms.

    + Scheduling support for internal survey crews.

    + Independently anticipating and working to meet customer needs.

    + Supporting other departments when called upon.

    + Communicating effectively both verbally and written.

    + Building relationships and credibility across the organization.

    + Promoting a sense of urgency within the Team for reaching goals and meeting deadlines.

    + Conducting business specific research and data analysis, interpreting results, and communicating findings.

    + Contributing to solutions by taking the initiative to develop alternatives and recommendations with complex vendors, projects, and work processes.

    + Ability to perform job duties independently with little or no supervision.

    Qualifications include:

    + Minimum of 4 years relevant experience is required. Relevant experience includes creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders, data reporting, analysis, and recommendations, and general understanding of accounting principles such as accruals, budgets, etc.

    + Associate Degree in a related field is preferred.

    + Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

    + Excellent analytical abilities involving complex problems; exercise sound judgment.

    + Strong leadership and organizational skills.

    + High Proficiency in SAP, Coupa, Power Bl, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + Is seen as a subject matter expert in the roles and responsibilities outlined above.

    + Working safely according to company policies and procedures.

    + Delivering quality, accurate work within established deadlines.

    + Strong written and oral communications skills.

    + Demonstrate a solid commitment to the First Energy Core Values and Behaviors and all aspects of safety.

    + Highly motivated; experience working independently with a high level of productivity.
