Job Requirements
+ Customer issue resolution: Act as a technical expert to diagnose and resolve the most complex customer problems that are escalated from support teams. This often requires recreating complex scenarios in a lab environment.
+ Code-level analysis: Debug issues at the source code level, particularly in the NetApp ONTAP operating system. This includes analyzing logs, memory dumps, and source code to perform root cause analysis.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with both the customer support team and the development team to communicate action plans and drive fixes.
+ Proactive quality improvement: Design and develop automated tests to prevent future regressions. Your role is to identify and resolve deficiencies in the product life cycle to improve overall quality, reliability, and serviceability.
+ Development of fixes: Create software fixes or enhancements for existing products, such as NetApp ONTAP.
+ Sustaining engineering: Address ongoing engineering processes for products already on the market. This includes technical support for production, managing product end-of-life (EOL) activities, and handling design changes.
Education
IC - Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 130,900 - 194,700 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
