Senior Project Engineer
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is currently seeking a Senor Project Engineer to provide additional support in our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department. We offer an on-site opportunity in our Boise, Idaho office location or remote work style from a mutually acceptable location.

Project Support
+ Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan has been established
+ Responsible for creating and maintaining a project schedule
+ Conduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings to clearly outline upcoming deliverables and tasks with responsible personnel identified
+ Coordinate with clients on project status and support project meetings as necessary
+ Maintain project workflow and thorough communication across multi-discipline projects, both internal and external to POWER
+ Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve project work flow
+ Forecast upcoming project requirements to assist in resource planning
+ Facilitate and adhere to POWER’s QA/QC procedures
+ Participate in industry conferences, both internal and external, to improve professional growth while fostering knowledge transfer to colleagues
+ Develop Transmission Line design knowledge pertaining to PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, steel pole performance loading, material procurement, construction specifications, construction methods, construction estimates, and construction support
+ Lead project teams with up to five (5) people
+ Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed
Project Manager (PM) Support
+ Support Project Manager with project status reports
+ Work with PM’s to develop scope, schedule and budget for new projects.
+ Work with PM’s to identify out of scope items and support work scope variances
+ Provide weekly or bi-weekly project updates and project forecasting
+ Lead and/or support PM meetings with clients, both in person and remotely
+ Develop client relationships allowing POWER the opportunity to position ourselves to win future work
Department Support
+ Support department resource forecast planning for upcoming and current project loads to identify any additional support required for the projects
+ Participate in new hire recruiting, screening and review processes
+ Provide business improvement methodologies and procedures
+ Discuss project and/or department personnel conflicts, performance issues, and collaborate on a suitable approach to constructively provide a successful resolution
+ Contribute in the Business Planning and Budgeting
Required Education/Experience:
+ 10+ years’ experience in the transmission field of managing projects and leading multi-disciplined teams
+ Professional Engineering licensure
+ Strong understanding to transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation
+ The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
+ Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
Preferred Education/Experience:
+ Field program planning, management, and execution.
+ Subcontractor management.
+ Cost estimating and scheduling.
+ Field experience and OSHA HAZWOPER and Supervisor training.
+ MBA degree from an accredited university.
+ Experience using ArcGIS, Oracle Crystal Ball, CAD, LPILE, SHAFT.

Base Salary Range: $132,800K- $197,300K
The range for this position is displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
