    This position is responsible for designing highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application/product in its entirety. Has the vision to integrate it across multiple systems. This position works independently and is seen as a technical leader. The position is responsible for driving the design and development efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability and performance in alignment with the product/application roadmap.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    In this role, you will:

    • Lead a high-performing software engineering team focused on building intelligent, scalable, and automated testing platforms using modern technologies and AI tools.

    • Drive the development of software components that enable continuous testing, faster verification cycles, and improved reliability across product lines.

    • Architect and implement automation frameworks and tools that eliminate repetitive manual tasks and streamline development workflows.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define future roadmaps and guide incremental delivery of strategic goals.

    • Provide technical leadership in design, architecture, and development, with the ability to deep dive into implementation when needed.

    • Lead architecture and design efforts across multiple products, including custom solutions tailored to specific product configurations.

    • Champion best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, DevOps, and test automation, to improve team efficiency and product quality.

    • Mentor and guide engineers in planning, execution, and agile development methodologies such as SCRUM.

    • Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders to capture system-level requirements and translate them into actionable engineering plans.

    • Make critical decisions on technology choices, design strategies, and implementation approaches, balancing innovation with maintainability.

    • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in software processes and methodologies, with the ability to adapt in dynamic and ambiguous environments.

    • Apply expert-level knowledge of core data structures and algorithms, and implement them effectively using appropriate programming languages.

    Education Qualification

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 15 years of experience

    Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

    • Facilitates and coaches software engineering team sessions on requirements estimation and alternative approaches to team sizing and estimation. Leads a community of practice around estimation to share best practices among teams

    • Demonstrates deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system development. Leads technical deep dives and architecture reviews across multiple product lines.

    • Drives innovation through adoption of AI tools and modern technologies to build intelligent automation platforms and accelerate verification cycles.

    • Coaches teams on estimation techniques, agile planning, and efficient development practices. Promotes reuse and modular design across engineering efforts.

    • Champions continuous testing and CI/CD practices, enabling faster and more reliable software delivery.

    Business Acumen:

    • Evaluates technology to drive features and roadmaps. Maps technology trends to internal vision. Differentiates buzzwords from value proposition. Embraces technology trends that drive excellence beyond traditional practices (e.g., Test automation in lieu of traditional QA practices).

    • Makes informed build vs. buy decisions and articulates ROI and long-term value of engineering investments.

    • Understands the impact of software decisions on business outcomes and customer experience.

    Leadership:

    • Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome. Uses experts or other third parties to influence.

    • Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making. Understands when change is needed. Participates in technical strategy planning.

    • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team. Able to navigate accountability in a matrixed organization.
