    Position Summary:

    As the Executive Director of Student Services and Strategic Initiatives for Enrollment Management, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance the overall enrollment experience and drive sustainable growth for the institution. Reporting to the Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, this position requires a leader with a deep understanding of enrollment management, the role of exceptional student service in driving success toward key performance indicators, data-driven decision-making and the ability to collaborate across various departments to achieve enrollment goals.

    Essential Functions:

    Strategic Planning

     

    - In collaboration with the Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for enrollment management with a keen focus on student services throughout the enrollment process.

     

    - Identify, recommend, and implement innovative solutions to enhance the student experience throughout enrollment, improving retention and supporting student success.

     

    - With leaders in the division, create plans for continuous improvement that include workflow analysis, collection of data, and the development of metrics to foster a culture of data-informed decision-making while encouraging creative ways to achieve goals and support student success.

     

    Collaboration and Relationship Building

     

    - Collaborate with the offices of Academic Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness, Data Analytics, enrollment teams, academic departments, and other relevant stakeholders to align strategic initiatives with the university’s strategic plan.

     

    - Develop efficient effective and integrated policies, procedures, and systems to deliver excellent service to students and their families, faculty, staff, and visitors and work with division leaders to implement them.

     

    Change Management

     

    - Drive successful adoption of new initiatives by demonstrating strong management capabilities, including effectively communicating vision, influencing stakeholders and fostering a positive environment for transition.

     

    - Utilizes a proactive and adaptable approach to navigate organizational shifts, demonstrating skills to minimize disruption and maximize employee engagement during periods of transition.

     

    - Guides teams through evolving processes and technologies with a focus on clear communication, empathy and strategic problem-solving.

     

    Student Services and Support

     

    - In collaboration with the Senior Vice Provost, identify student service opportunities and reimagine organizational structures and processes to maintain compliance with federal state and university policies while delivering supportive services that improve enrollment and retention and champion student success.

     

    - Guide departments in the division, including Offices of the Registrar, Bursar, and Financial Aid Services in delivering effective communications to internal and external constituencies.

     

    - Lead division in the continual improvement of digital communication efforts, including but not limited to website content, chatbot-delivered services, and virtual tour content, to ensure they support student success throughout enrollment and KPI’s outlined in the university’s strategic plan.

     

    - Develop content and materials, such as presentations, project and/or impact reports and playbooks that enhance or complement enrollment management services.

     

    Financial Management

     

    - Monitor and manage tuition discounts for new students through collaborative work with the Senior Vice Provost and Budget teams.

     

    - Collaborate with the Office of Student Financial Aid Services to develop strategies that support affordability and financial accessibility education for students.

     

    Innovative Enrollment Solutions

     

    - Explore and leverage technology to streamline enrollment processes and improve overall efficiency.

     

    - Represent Senior Vice Provost and lead subject matter experts through the implementation of a new student information system (ERP) to support the student experience.

     

    Leadership and Team Development

     

    - Provide on-ground operational supervision and support of student service leadership.

     

    - Represent the Senior Vice Provost’s Office in collaboration with the Office of Student Transition, including New Student Orientation for both incoming freshmen and transfer students and the university Hardship Committee.

     

    - Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and contribute to the overall success of enrollment initiatives.

    Prerequisite Qualifications:

    -Master's degree in a relevant field (such as Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline).

     

    - Extensive experience in enrollment management with a proven track record of student service to drive enrollment outcomes.

     

    - Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

     

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

     

    - Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

     

    - Familiarity with current trends and best practices in higher education and enrollment management.

     

    - At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

    Salary Information:

    In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is $200,000-$210,000 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
