KRQE-TV News 13, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented News Producer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. This role is central to shaping daily newscasts across all platforms — crafting compelling stories, balancing hard news with features, and ensuring smooth, engaging broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Produce daily newscasts for broadcast across television, digital, and social platforms.

+ Write and order news stories, teases, and other broadcast elements.

+ Approve scripts and guide newsroom content decisions.

+ Time live news programs and ensure smooth transitions.

+ Edit video and prepare packages for air.

+ Write, edit, and post stories to the station website and other eMedia platforms.

+ Interact with viewers and audiences through social media engagement.

+ Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and production staff to deliver impactful storytelling.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

+ Journalism degree, Communications, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).

+ Minimum of two years of experience in news operations.

+ Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ Strong editorial judgment with the ability to balance breaking news and features.

+ Proficiency in newsroom systems, editing software, and standard office equipment.

+ Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

+ Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
