• MEP Mechanical Designer

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced MEP Designer to join our team at Giga Factory Texas in Ausn. The ideal

     

    candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in designing dry and wet mechanical systems, with

     

    experience in industrial greenfield and brownfield projects.

    Responsibilies

    • Develop and produce accurate and appealing industry standard MEP drawings, layouts, and 3D

     

    models using Revit and AutoCAD.

     

    • Assist in the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protecon, and electrical systems in accordance with

     

    applicable codes and project requirements.

     

    • Coordinate MEP system layouts with architectural, structural, electrical, and process

     

    components.

     

    • Use Revizto, Naviswork, or similar tools for clash detecon and muldisciplinary coordinaon.

    • Generate construcon drawings, equipment schedules, single line diagram, P&ID, riser diagrams,

     

    and details.

     

    • Can perform basic calculaons and understand and interpret engineer(s) work and approach to

     

    develop schemacs, concepts, and further advance the design.

     

    • Parcipate in design reviews, coordinaon meengs, and model updates.

    • Assist in preparing submi=als, redlines, as-built, and record drawings.

    • Lead 3D model reviews with cross discipline and executive level stakeholders

    Skills and Requirements

    Requirements

    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.

    2. CAD/BIM cerficaons or coursework preferred.

    3. 4-7 years of experience in MEP draBing and design for building systems.

    4. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.

    5. Familiarity with Revizto, Navisworks, or other BIM coordinaon tools is a plus.

    6. Working knowledge of ASHRAE, NEC, IMC, IPC, or other relevant building codes and design

     

    standards.
