    Job Description

    A large software and gaming company is looking for an Associate Gameplay Cinematographer to join a growing team. This person will will be responsible for supporting the Gameplay Cinematographers and Coordinators/Producers across the execution of shots throughout a broad range of video content. With the utmost enthusiasm and willingness to learn how to make video content, you’ll assist our Senior Gameplay Cinematographers in crafting high-quality trailers. Using best in class tools within Unreal Engine, you’ll further support the long-term development of our capture team by maintaining workflow documentation, reporting bugs and testing new tools.

    In this role you will

    •Work closely with the Capture Producers/Coordinators and Senior Capture Team Leadership to learn UE5 and Epic’s robust camera tools across all video assets

    •Help triage capture blockers and coordinate with our Technical Build Producer to ensure visibility across teams.

    •Monitors capture system functionality and reports outstanding bug issues to Gameplay Technicians.

    •Willing and hungry to be proficient in operating digital cameras and developer tools to create and capture high-quality cinematic media.

    •Maintains capture workflow documentation and process.

    •Assist scenes as an ‘actor’ for other Gameplay Cinematographers to help fill out and breathe life into our biggest scenes for all video needs.

    •Learn to direct and capture your own shots across various trailers and videos.

    Skills and Requirements

    •At least 1 year of experience in gameplay capture or similar role.

    •Strong enthusiasm to better learn visual storytelling.

    •Interest in and experience with Fortnite and other shooters in the market.

    •Can receive and execute against constructive feedback from your direct leads.

    •Calm under pressure when working against quick timelines and changing priorities.

    •Willingness to learn video game engines and camera tools.

    •Someone with an eye for cinematic framing and composition.

    •Entry level experience in Unreal Engine
