    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Analyst to join an Enterprise Finance and Risk Technology organization. The client is a Global Systemically Important Bank (G-SIB) undergoing a multi-year, large-scale modernization of its financial platforms. Sponsored by the CFO, this initiative aims to upgrade the finance technology stack, streamline processes, and implement best-in-class technologies.

     

    The program involves complex challenges due to vast data sets and a diverse legacy technology stack built over more than 20 years.

    Technology Stack Highlights:

    - Backend: Core Java with frameworks such as Spring, In-Memory, Caching, and Parallel Processing

     

    - Frontend: JavaScript, Angular, React

     

    - Data: Relational databases and extensive use of the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark and Hadoop

     

    As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with business partners, solution architects, and technology teams. You’ll analyze current processes and systems, assess business models and their integration with technology, and work closely with stakeholders to capture and refine requirements. You’ll be part of an Agile Scrum team, partnering with the Product Owner to evaluate features, write user stories, document business rules, and support Engineering in reviewing technical designs, identifying enablers, and managing dependencies.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst

     

    - Data-oriented projects, such as data transformation work.

     

    - Finance domain knowledge, specifically understanding concepts like sub-ledgers and general ledgers.

     

    - Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

     

    - Strong experience in documenting detailed functional and technical requirements, process flows, risk identification and mitigation, and contributing to strategy definition for technical solutions

     

    - Experience with Agile methodologies, including feature writing, story grooming, and sprint planning - Experience building or managing financial technology products and programs, especially large scale transformations migrating data from legacy systems

     

    - Familiarity with SQL, Java, Java frameworks, JavaScript, Angular, or React

     

    - Expertise in AI language models
